Northern Pygmy Owl Greeting Card – Little Hunter

The Story:

The Launsteins found this male Northern Pygmy Owl hunting in a mountainside forest. When it perched on a tiny cedar sapling, Josiah quickly but quietly shifted his position for a straight-on, eye-level image of this little hunter. Little Hunter went on to be awarded in the international Bird Photographer of the Year competition and was later named Runner-Up in the National Wildlife Federation photography competition.
